IOS Icons Guide Adding them(1)

IOS Icons guide: Adding them, Different Types, and More

Customizing iOS icons has become a popular trend among iPhone users looking to revamp the appearance of their home screens. By replacing the default icons with visually appealing alternatives, you can tailor the look and feel of your iPhone to suit your style. Whether you prefer minimalist designs, vibrant colors, or themed icons, there are various ways to achieve a customized look.
So if you are looking for how to add your icons look no further because this guide has all you need to know

Where to Obtain them

The first thing you need to do is figure out what type of icons do you want Color, Glyph, or Image icons if you already have icons in mind skip this step

Glyph

Glyph icons are a type of icons that display the logo of an app on the icon itself. these icons are usually paired with a blurred or gradient background and fit most aesthetics. Some have a simple glyph style but others might be more artistic

Color

Color icons are simple icons that do not indicate which app they represent, but instead are represented by different colors. These icons typically come in packs of 4-6 colors and are favored for creating a minimalist aesthetic.

Image

Image icons are a category of icons that stand apart from those typically associated with specific apps. Unlike app-specific icons that are designed with glyph’s. Image icons won’t be associated with the app at all they may contain actual images, symbols or illustrations these are good with a plain background to not clutter the home screen

Getting the icons

There are many ways to get icons depending on the type

Glyph

You can find glyph icons by simply searching the internet but doing that makes it harder to make a cohesive aesthetic so you should find a icon pack that matches your desired aesthetic i would recommend going here to find your glyph icons

Color

Color icons are the easiest to find because all you need is a color palette and bam your done or alternatively you can go here for a bunch of pre-curated color icons

Image

Image icons are harder if your going with real image icons you should first have your full aesthetic planed out then chose images based on that but if your just doing symbols you can choose widgets and wallpapers around them

Adding the icons

Okay I’ve got my icons now what? here’s a step by step guide to setting up your icons
